WHO ARE WE
MISSIONARIES OF LOVE CRUCIFIED (Orphans And Needy Home) is a non-governmental, non-profitable, non-political and non-philanthropic organization but religious community in Catholic Church due firmly and solemnly resolve to provide for ourselves, a constitution to be governed by the provisions therein contained.MISSIONARIES OF LOVE CRUCIFIED (Orphans And Needy Home) was founded in year 2006 by SISTER CHIKA MARIA in answering the clarion call of given a helping hand to the needy and all youths that are affected by different kinds of social vices as a result of helpless situations that are endangering their lives as a result of immodest life styles they live. The dream of this home was spurred by the call to evangelize through carrying out the corporal and Spiritual works of Mercy as our Lord Jesus Christ thought us in Matt 25: 31-46. The Poor of Love Crucified (TPLC), home for the needy was initiated to extend a heart of love to people who are challenged with helpless cases /situations thus:
- The Orphans, abandoned children, destitute, Teenage pregnancies/babies.
- To awaken our consciousness in evangelization on God's Vineyard, God's divine love and His presence in our lives, through "the Eucharistic Jesus". In our present day society the youths are immeasurably challenged with unsympathetic environmental factors, especially Poverty, Unemployment, increase in crime waves and exposure to unedited films (Home movie and Foreign) and most excruciatingly pornographic Films and Picture, without the conscious efforts by both the society and the parents to checkmate or stop them from getting involved in such immodest Life style. This is indicative to the fact that most of us do not truly know God, or do not truly worship God in truth and spirit, therefore love for God, ourselves, and neighbours is nauseatingly endangered, there seems to be no heartfelt love for God, but self-centered love which is highly disparaging, to both the actor and our society at large, especially human beings. However, the afore mentioned problems have been recognized to exist both in our families, Churches, and society in general, it is evident in power tussles, loathing and selfish desire for material acquisition at the detriment of our lives. However all these negative trends and inclination, impact significantly on the youths who do not have a say in our society and has led to a intermittent swell in poor education occasioned to high level of drop-outs, lack of good jobs, Increase in death rates, escalating increase in street hawking, Kidnapping, Political snuggery, assassination, sexual harassment human trafficking, abortion, sickness, dying abuse, which result in psychological problems, depression and mental dysfunction. The inspired Movement is perched towards creating an enabling environment for these challenged/ underprivileged youths to have a better home outside home and relive their future by acquiring skills and educational qualification to improve their future and become better citizens of our great nation. We however will achieve these by employing various initiatives thus:
- To consistently organize skill acquisition training for youths who may not wish to undertake formal Education such as Sowing, Computer training, crafts etc
- To sponsor and train those that has interest and capacity to pursue educational career.
- To mobilize funds from both individual, private and public sectors to build a permanent home for these destitute that have nowhere to be called home.
- To provide Scholarship for indigent children abandoned to give them a ray of hope.
- Collaborate with volunteers to help achieve the vision and goals of this divine call..
OUR SUSTAINABILITY
The home has an existing shop (Sacramental Pax herbal products) as sources of revenue. The shop also has a mini computer section for the training of the girls. We intend to expand the computer training and establish other skill acquisition programmes like Bakery, Sewing,
